Jeg elskede den leg. Min søster gemte små chokolade-påskeæg i stuen, mens jeg ventede i gangen. Døren blev åbnet, og vi sang begge:
Der har været en lille påskehøne,
den har lagt et påskeæg.
Og vi ved netop hvor den har lagt det,
for den har nemlig sagt det.

se ude, se inde, prøv om du kan finde

Påskelegen er skrevet af Kirsten Pendrup og leges som en slags ”tampen brænder”. Har du mindre børn, skal du muligvis være med de første gange, hjælpe dem med at skiftes og finde gemmesteder, der ikke er alt for svære. Det ene barn gemmer et påskeæg fx et chokoladeæg, og det andet barn holder sig for øjnene eller går ud af rummet: Nu skal barnet komme ind i lokalet, og finde påskeægget, mens sangen synges igen og igen. Når barnet er tæt på gemmestedet og påskeægget, skal sangen synges kraftigt; er barnet langt fra påskeægget, synges sangen svagt, næsten hviskende.
Hvis påskeægget er for svært at finde, så brug “Fugl, fisk eller midt-i-mellem”. Midt-i-mellem plejede vi at kalde Lagkage. “Fugl”, hvis påskeægget er gemt højt oppe. “Fisk” ved gulvhøjde. Og “lagkage”, hvis det er… midt-i-mellem, altså bordhøjde.
